Helping others
We are passionate about helping people.
About Us
Asking for feedback and really listening to your customers over the years, has paid dividends. What thus started off as a passion to train underpaid petrol attendants better and convince them that charming a customer with excellent service would certainly boost their wallet, has developed into a unique, fully fledged training academy with a spot-on approach.

Workforce Solutions and it’s training division, Workforce Training Academy (WTA) empowers young people and adults who are unemployed, with the relevant and productive skills matching the requirements of prospective employers. Learners pay for their own training.
Dignity
What is so important is that Learners win back the dignity lost, having been unemployed, sometimes for as long as 4 years, after having left school. The next step is to remain motivated and become an outstanding employee, so that they could continue to follow the intensive Life Skills Program offered as a component of all training at the WTA. This Program supports the Learner who have already drawn up a short-to-medium and eventually long-term plan for his or her life. Many brothers and sisters pass through here. As soon as one is employed, the family sends another member to enrol.

The slogan of the business is Vuka U Zenzele – Stand Up and Do Something. That is exactly what we as a business do, and what we teach our Learners to do. Together we fight poverty and crime. The business further offers Learners financial skills and counselling services where needed.
Our Mission
It is the Mission of Workforce Solutions to become a centre of innovation which operates with empathy for those with limited opportunities due to a lack of finance and education. Once Learners fail Grade 12 or cannot complete their school career as a result of financial or social problems, many lose hope. They go into a survival mode and will take any job just to survive.

Workforce Solutions teaches it’s students to re-structure their life, adjust the goal-posts and continue to follow their dream. It works. Many students at University and other Colleges who could not continue their studies end up following these short courses, gets a job and does the same. Partner Kathy Barker manages the Computer Training Centre and the Health Care Training Division with its Caregivers Placement Agency (CPA). Trained Care-workers do home-based care while they pursue their dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. This service has become popular among the elderly who opt to stay on in their homes in stead of moving on to a retirement home.
